Hi, I’m Sanchita Dey, the founder of House of Gulnara.

For nearly a decade, I built my life and career in Canada. I had stability, structure, and a path that seemed secure. But life had other plans. An unfortunate incident changed everything, and I made one of the hardest decisions of my life—to leave it all behind and return to India.

I came back for someone who means everything to me—my younger sister.

What followed was a phase of uncertainty and struggle. Starting over wasn’t easy. There were emotional challenges, financial pressures, and moments that tested our strength. But through it all, we stood by each other and chose to rise instead of give up.

And then came a beautiful turning point in our lives—my pet baby, Prince.

Prince didn’t just bring joy into our home, he brought purpose. Through him, we felt a deep connection towards animals, especially the countless dogs in India who lack basic care, love, and protection.

That’s when everything changed.

We didn’t just want to build a business—we wanted to build something meaningful.

And so, House of Gulnara was born.
